about

Marthuba visited her sister Lily in Faerieland, riding on wings of an enormous grey owl called Ser … her reward for mending his broken wing! On their journey they became friends. So it was that Ser returned to live with Marthuba in her own world.

Marthuba became a great storyteller, bringing joy to humans the world over. She became known as The Faerietale Woman. Nobody guessed whence her tales had come, but people still speak lovingly of Marthuba … and of the kind owl who never left her side.

lyrics

Here in your feathers, so warm on wings
I could sleep forever, while they sing
It’s a long way, to my fairy ring
It’s the journey, it’s the flight of the owl!

When the owl flies, when the owl flies
He owns the night
When the owl flies through the dark night
All night, he flies in me.

Take me with you, over the stream
To the mountain where the moon gleams
Wild eyes seeing everything,
Beaks, talons, silver wings

When the owl flies ...
