about

One of the oldest, most beautiful rituals in Faerieland is the hanging and lighting of the lanterns. Guardians of the dance have, for centuries untold, competed to prepare the prettiest ring. The rings shimmer like star-clusters: thus the faerie word for ‘forest’ is ‘weenishae’, which means ‘little galaxy.’

lyrics

One here! One there!
One here! One there!

Ooooooh, prepare the fairy ring!
Ooooooh, prepare the fire dancing!

Be they wayward, be they straight,
Those fairy lanterns, they have no weight

One here! One there!
One here! One there!

Ooooooh, prepare the fairy ring!
Ooooooh, prepare the fire dancing!
