By the end of the seventh year Eloise realises, too late, that Luty will never marry her, for the very charms she has used to lure him have destroyed his love of human ways. Unable to conceive a mortal child, the seamerrow can only share the music that had first brought Luty to her side.
(ii) The Seagiant:
Eloise is dying in the young man’s arms. But her repeated promise: ‘I will return!’ prophecies an eternity for the lovers - and with her vision of the giant ‘who dreams on the seafloor’, she seems to be drawing Luty’s fate into her own.
lyrics
Saltchild Lullaby:
And when you were resting, I gave you my love song
Saltchild born in the heart of the deep
And you and I knew when we called it our lullaby
that our two spirits would never sleep
The Seagiant:
Sleep, oh darling our Storm has passed,
dream of it all your life
Though your dreams might only come briefly true,
they last long after you die
Sleep, my Ocean my River my Rain,
safe in the Earth that loves you
rest my Hunger, down on the seafloor
till I return to wake you
I will return
Oh, look you’re so peaceful
just like some man who dreams on the seafloor
Oh! my Seagiant was beautiful,
you won’t forget me.
Sleep oh darling … I’ll dream of it all my life!
Though our dreams might only come briefly true,
they last long after we die
Sleep, my Ocean, my River, my Rain,
safe in the Earth that loves you
And I’ll rest my hunger, down on the seafloor
till I return to wake you
I will return to wake you!
Watch me return

Louisa is an Australian singer, composer, writer & faery storyteller who has released many albums of ethereal music on indie labels, primarily in France. She's completing a fantasy series, The Elderbrook Chronicles, with a soundtrack.
"All Becompassed by Stars" (Dandelion Wine): Genre-bending contemporary medieval trance, with psychedelic eclectic mix of modern & ancient instruments, quirky lyrics and sophisticated production. Louisa John-Krol
Haunting, ethereal, melancholy, with exquisite vocals and illustration by a multi-instrumentalist Spanish composer, who presents fabulous videos and is also a sweet, gentle faery. World, love her. Louisa John-Krol
This album carries one of my favourite recordings by this legendary mythic rock band: Adrienne's song 'The Children of Lir'. It's so good that it feels like a traditional ballad. Louisa John-Krol
