Hide In Your Shadow

from Alexandria - full album 1998 by Louisa John-Krol

/

about

From our second CD Alexandria: this song came to me in native bushland of Junortoun, near Bendigo, Australia, where I was raised, and is a tribute to the Dreaming that imbues these lands. This is the traditional home of the Dja Dja Warrung People of the Kulin Nation.

lyrics

Wind blows through branches of lost Time
sleep forms foam rising to ashes.
And as you dance, your hair is on fire
tripping, falling, slipping into the ice Moon:
in the light of the Sun, hide in your Shadow
