Cauldron Of Morning

from Djinn - full album 2008 by Louisa John-Krol

/

about

From our 6th solo CD Djinn (2008) on French fairy-world label Prikosnovénie. This song is dedicated to Goddesses of Cauldrons, especially Ceridwen and Hekate, and to Wise Women entering mysteries of cronehood. Invocation of Titania, Queen of Fairies, is present as consort of Oberon, striding to the mountaintop. Greymalkin is a witch's cat, one of the familiars in Shakespeare's play 'Macbeth'.

lyrics

Wish I could follow Ancient tomorrow
To the mountaintop with Oberon!
Wish I could fathom Dreams of the Diadem
Chalices haunted by hebanon
Wish I could jingle Shoal and the Shingle
Rummage among the lost paragon
Wish I could tarnish those who would banish
Emperors of the fey wilderness
Cauldron of Morning, I come Greymalkin!
Paddock calls! Anon! Come in Chimney Djinn …
