about

From my third CD, Ariel, first published 2000; released on French label Prikosnovenie 2001.

It explores the lure of the Will o' the Wisp, inspired by Katharine Briggs' book 'A Dictionary of Fairies', and the contrasting steadfast protection of the Sentinel: a guardian, totem or guide.

lyrics

'Sentinel'

Shouldn’t we go home?
couldn’t we just sleep under stars?
is that a Will o’ the Wisp through the trees?
seems like we’re often led to believe …
oh! those dreams, wild animals hunting in reed

Shouldn’t we go home?
couldn’t we just live like the birds?
is that a Will o’ the Wisp through the trees?
seems like we’re often led to believe …
oh! those dreams, wild oceans are moving in mead
